Reiki treatments can be given to adults, children and babies.
All you need to do, is remove your shoes, remain fully clothed
and lie back on a comfortable Reiki table, covered with a blanket
in a quiet setting of soft music and soft lightening. A Reiki
Treatment is normally an hour to an hour and a half.
The practitioner's hands are placed gently on the main energy
points (chakras) on your body. This will allow the optimum amount
of energy to flow through into your body. The Reiki energy works
to dissolve energy blocks and creates balance in body, mind and
spirit.
After the Reiki Treatment, you are encouraged
to drink water, as it helps with the energy
flow. The energy works with you for some time
after the treatment.
Many people ask, how many treatments do I
need?
If someone has an acute condition one
treatment is sometimes enough. If someone has a
chronic condition or a condition for a long
period of time, I generally recommend four
treatments as close as possible together and
then treatments once or twice a week for a
period of approximately four weeks to ten weeks.
This allows a cumulative build up of the
energy in the client. However there are no
standard recommendations. Each person’s
situation is discussed individually, at the
first treatment. In my experience, no two people
are the same and generally after each session,
the Client becomes aware of the benefits and
improvement themselves, which can also be felt
by the Practitioner.
Many people ask will Reiki work on certain
conditions.
Reiki has unlimited potential. In its long
history of use Reiki has aided in healing many
illnesses and injuries including serious
problems like: multiple sclerosis, heart disease
and cancer as well as skin problems, cuts,
bruises, broken bones, headache, asthma, colds,
flu, sore throat, sunburn, fatigue, insomnia,
poor memory, depression, anxiety stress, self
confidence etc. So all that can be said is that
Reiki has unlimited potential and if it has
helped someone else with a condition, that
potential is within you. As Reiki works to heal
and balance Mind, Body and Spirit, the response
is unique to each person.
